Hope Springs Eternal

Y’all, Spring is almost here. As we turn away from the cold, dry winter, I am excited to see the beauty of all that emerges in the spring. The colors, more warm days, and the spring flowers coming alive. It is a miracle of life that we see opening up before us.

We have so many things to look forward to. Daylight Savings Time is this Sunday the 13th and next Sunday the 20th is the first day of Spring. It cannot come soon enough! Spring is the opening for us to revitalize and freshen things up and a perfect time for us to release what is no longer serving us.

In my studies of Ayurveda, I learned that spring is a wonderful time for a physical detox. Your body is so full of energy after resting and recuperating in the winter. We don’t go dormant to the extent that many trees and plants do in winter but there is definitely a reduction in activity. Spring then becomes an awakening.

SO, I invite you to think about what you want to use all of this energy for. Take advantage of this emerging energy. Start by taking some time to ask yourself a few questions. I have provided a few examples to get you started but be sure to look inside and list what you want.

1) What do I want more of in my life?

  • Self-care
  • Supportive Relationships
  • Healthy Habits

2) What do I want less of?

  • Toxic relationships
  • Clutter
  • Debt
  • Weight
  • Habits that do not support wellness

3) Next, look at small steps you can take to implement some of the changes in your life and make a list.

4) Then, make a plan. Schedule if you need to. Attach actions.

5) Finally, release your attachment to the outcome. Do the best that you can. Sometimes when we become so attached to a certain outcome we do more harm than good. Baby steps are better than no step.

And remember Hope SPRINGS Eternal!
